Convertible Earrings

So Young Park

Fantastic convertible earrings from So Young Park showcasing several traditional metalsmithing techniques. A textured and oxidized silver huggie on a post is the anchor for free moving gilded drops. These silver cups have been oxidized, etched, embellished using a traditional Korean gold technique called "Keum-boo" and studded with pearls and free moving silver wire pistils. The drops of the earrings can be removed from the main "huggie" portion of the ear, or worn in a variety of orientations.
