About the artist:
Emily was born and raised in the village of East Calais, Vermont. She graduated in 2013 with a BFA in Metalsmithing + Jewelry from Maine College of Art. After some traveling she moved to Penland School of Crafts for the two year Core Fellowship. Now a resident of Asheville, North Carolina she spends her time enjoying the mountains and maintaining an inquisitive studio practice. Emily’s repetitious habit of sketching structures and patterns has informed her latest body of work, using wire and line to create planes and define space.
