"Initially prototyped using a wire coat hanger, this strange industrial representation of the amphora form mirrors the cold brutality of reproductive rights on the chopping block in 2022. Formed from a continuous loop of titanium wire, this pendant is surprisingly soft, organic and cannot contain anything physical."

Drawing upon his technical design background, Stefan Gougherty creates jewelry that is both a celebration and critique of industrial progress. With content mined from opposing forces such as trash/ treasure, ancient/ future, natural/ artificial—his work mirrors the paradox (and humor) of this strange world we inhabit.
