Born in Kaunas, Lithuania, Arthur Ragauskas was inspired by the historic significance of jewelry craftsmanship and local mythology in Northern Europe. Graduating from the Art Academy of Lithuania, he gained a mastery of gem and metal cutting, as well as jewelry design. Upon moving to the United States, Arthur established a Chicago-based design studio incorporating European sophistication with American elegance.
Combining modern metal forms and cuts with traditional styles, Arthur reaches a strong and diverse new approach to jewelry by joining the old world with the new. His creations capture the nostalgic past in innovative forms and create bold but delicate undertones. Arthur begins by sketching and designing each piece to the client’s specification. Then, carves the wax, casts the metal of choice, and forms the design. Adorned in gold and gemstones, each piece develops into a one-of-a-kind keepsake to last a lifetime. As a designer, Arthur is constantly striving to make a statement by creating exceptional craftsmanship and allowing the clientele to share and collaborate a unique vision.
