This earthen statement brooch by Carina Shoshtary is part of our Fireworks in the Rain exhibition. Shoshtary uses a variety of organic and artificial media, combining found materials and bio plastic in her pieces as a way of juxtaposing the familiar and the unfamiliar. Comprised of lacquered plumes of paper flowing outwards from a single stone, the components are meshed together with colorful of border.
