For this exhibition, Korean artist Jeemin Jamie Chung shares her journey and quiet stories of moving to and settling into Indiana. Moving from the bustling city of Seoul to a place surrounded by cornfields and endless sky was a shift she was waiting for but not expected. Life here unfolds slowly—without the noise, without the rush—and in that stillness, she found something rare. Indiana has taught me to appreciate not only the silence around her, but also the silence within her. She has come to understand the quiet as a kind of peace, not emptiness. The wide skies, the rustling fields, and the rhythm of nature have helped her feel calm in a way the city never will. This place has taught her gratitude—not just for the space and air, but for the stillness of mind. These are the feelings and thoughts she want to carry with her, always. The things that can’t always be spoken, but are deeply felt.
