UK-based artist Rebecca Ilett's Things Unsaid collection features four brooches created using objects and materials from her collection of archival materials. In the tradition of Crivelli whose gherkin depictions seem out of place in his painting, so this gherkin seems an unlikely choice for a piece of jewelry. In this piece, Cornichon, Rebecca celebrates the magnificent form, color and popularity of the pickle in a small tribute with leek and tray.
